There have been major changes in the relationship between food and how it makes us feel, whether it is learning about intestinal health or foods that cause exposure to itching. Among my best friends, we have two vegetarians, two gluten-free, one dairy-free, one #gf and vegan, and a couple of kids who are kind of iffy on nuts. So when it comes to cooking gluten-free desserts for everyone… it’s hard.

But I love cooking. Especially around the holidays. And since I want everyone to be able to eat, I have spent the last few years building my favorite barns that do not include common culprits: wheat and gluten, nuts, milk, and eggs.
